2.5 The Character and Attributes of God                    

 

1. What word expresses the character of God?
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

 

2. What are some of God's attributes?
Psalm 145:17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

 

3. Does Christ possess these same attributes?
Isaiah 53:11 He will see the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge My righteous servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities.
Acts 2:27 Because Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.

 

4. When the Lord proclaimed His name to Moses, how did He describe His character?
Exodus 34:5-7
