3.13 Biblical Sanctification                                

 

1. Which prayer in Holy Scripture sets the standard for a Christian's experience?
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

2. How necessary is it to have an experience of sanctification?
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

 

3. What encouragement is offered as assistance in gaining this experience?
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;
26 That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
